Art Relief

Madelyn Ma

One of the common issues that affect our mental health is daily stress. But with the uncertainty of the pandemic still ongoing, the state of our mental health is more vulnerable than ever. While there are many ways to help improve our mental health, using artistic and creative methods can help communicate those emotions, overcome stress, and even boost self-esteem.

Art Relief is a creative self-care kit inspired by the practice of art therapy. It will provide a variety of art materials like acrylic paint and colored pencils, as well as two zine booklets full of creative activities and prompts. These activities can range from doodling and painting to collaging and sculpting. Overall, Art Relief is designed to help college students and young adults relieve any stress or anxiety from the comfort of their own home, as well as improve their mental health and well-being.
